After we left Eric at the airport and were driving home in the car, I was, I guess you could say, a little weepy.
Ok, I was full-out crying my eyes out, maybe even sobbing once or twice.
(I don’t handle separation from Eric so well…)
Noa and Martha were a little concerned. Martha kept saying,
“Mommy, you happy now?”
And Noa kept saying generic comforting phrases like,
“Mommy, don’t worry. Everything will be ok. Don’t worry. You don’t need to be sad. Everything will be ok. Don’t worry.”
Then, all of a sudden she points and says,
“Mommy, Look! At that sign! It says, ‘No big people allowed crying on the road.’”
I guess is served her purpose, I stopped crying and began laughing.

Oh My Goodness…that is hilarious! Noa, I love it! Forget teaching this three year old the alphabet…the girl can read road signs already!

comfort from your babes. hugs to everyone. especially you!
Aw, it’s so sweet how little ones pick right up on our moods and are concerned when Mommy feels sad. Well done, Noa. She’s got a sharp little mind.
So classic, so so sweet! How did she come up with that?!? I need that sign sometimes myself!
