Hi there! Thanks for connecting to our new website.  We have moved to this new site for several reasons, mostly so we could save all of our posts onto our own server space (not google) so that we can be sure to keep it as long as we want. We have also been able to organize what we post into 4 main categories (see tabs above): Family Blog, Missions, Prayer Requests, and Everything Else.  And we’ve been working hard to go through and tag all of our previous posts so you can search this new website by topic.  Hopefully this new system will work better for our organization and for your viewing pleasure. :)

Spending these last few weeks working on this and going through our previous 300+ posts was not as tedious as I thought it would be and was actually a real blessing to my heart.  I have said before that this blog is like our family’s virtual scrapbook, a place to record what is happening in our lives.  It was so special to look back and see that it is even more than that, though.  Throughout the Bible, the Lord called his chosen ones to remember; to remember his goodness and faithfulness and to recount his marvelous deeds to their children and children’s children, that generations would know the mercies of God towards his people. They would set up memorial stones, called ebenezers, that, when seen, would be tangible reminders of God’s work. So this is our ebenezer, our memorial to the goodness of God in our lives.  I don’t know how many people read this or if we even know you or if you know our God.  But I pray that this, where we share joys and struggles, and triumphs and failures, and reflections and stories, would not just be about our little family and our little life but about our BIG GOD and His mercy and grace and goodness poured out.  Even if no one else reads these posts, I am happy to write and share, if only for my own heart to remember and rejoice!  I also hope and pray that this little piece of cyber space would be a place that my children (one day) would love to browse and also be called to remembrance and rejoicing.  And anyone else who is visiting – whether because they care about us and pray for us or are just browsing online – would see God here and rejoice with us.

So, welcome!

It’s beautiful! Just an FYI – if you ever want to have your blog professionally printed out (for a pretty decent price I may add) – let me know. I’m thinking about doing it myself!

I wanted to take this opportunity to say, “Hello” again. Great job with the new look and organization! I found your blog through Jon and Maggie’s blog and I have loved following your girls as they grow up because my own daughter is close in age to Noa. Your girls are beautiful and I have often been blessed by your posts.

My husband and I are in Taiwan, and while we were in language school we had a lot of Japanese classmates and made friends with many of them. My heart now has a soft spot for them as well and I often pray for your ministry and work there.
