This is my grandmother, Nana, and I. This picture is a few months old, but I was able to see her today. She recently has been diagnosed with lung cancer. She is currently going through chemotherapy. Please pray that God would have mercy on her and that the cancer would be defeated. Cancer seems like just another disease until it attacks someone you love. I confess I didn’t realize how scary cancer can be, until someone I loved was diagnosed. I believe in a sovereign God, a God that works all things for the good of those who love Him. I confess that I still sometimes ask why her and why this?

“O God I cannot endure to see the destruction of my kindred. Let those that are united to me in tender ties be precious in thy sight and devoted to thy glory. …Grant that the promising appearances of a tender conscience, soft heart, the alarms and delights of thy Word, be not finally blotted out, but bring forth judgement unto victory in all whom I love.”
Thanks for those very kind words!! I know Mom will appreciate it.
Thank you Eric, it is so beautiful and well written. And I know all things work together for those who love Him. Nana
