We are LOVIN’ us some pool time these days.
And, just for everyone’s edification, I thought I would share this accidental photo so we can all enjoy the deliciousness of the rolls on this girl:

Miss Martha has been talking up a storm this last or month or so and it’s been a delight. One of her many adorable phrases is “So-o mu-uch.” I’ve been trying to remember a good example of it to share here, then we had this conversation earlier today:
We had just waved goodbye to her friend Millie in the driveway and were walking back inside…
Martha: “Da so fun” (that was so fun)
Me: “Did you have a good time? Do you love Mille?”
Martha: Uh-huh. So-o mu-uch”
Eric just told Noa and Martha that they needed to get together later today to work on some Mother’s Day stuff. A few minutes later:
Noa (super excited): Happy Mother’s Day, Daddy!!!
Eric: No, Noa. It’s Mother’s Day.
Noa: Oh. (pause) Happy Dadda’s Day, Daddy!!!
Can’t stop a girl from celebrating her father.
Since Eric and his classmates are pretty swamped this weekend and the next few weeks finishing up the semester, I am limiting his distractions and taking the girls today to join a few other “Seminary wives” for an afternoon at the beach. Noa is especially excited about it, and excited that it’s a “girls only” day.
Noa: “Daddy, We’re going to the beach today. It’ll be so much fun. We’re going to the girls’ beach. You can’t come with us. The boys go to the boys’ beach.”
Eric (mumbling): “Yea, if by boys’ beach you mean the library.”
If you think of it, will you pray for Eric as he finishes his first year? This next few weeks will be quite busy. No beach, just the library, for him!
