Martha is happy to announce (yes, she gets to announce this time since Noa got to do it for Aunt Laura only a few months ago) that there is another wedding in our family’s near future. Aunt Martha has accepted the marriage proposal of Ian Robinson and they plan to get married in September!!! We could not be more thrilled for them. Ian and Martha were Noa’s favorite baby-sitters while we lived in Harrisonburg, and Ian has continued to become more special to us as we’ve watched (or rather heard from them of) their falling in love. Won’t you pray with us for these two that are so dear to us as they plan and prepare for their marriage?
CONGRATULATIONS, IAN AND MARTHA! WE LOVE YOU!
Isn’t springtime glorious? It certainly is here in Japan. Some of the later blooming cherry blossoms, Sakura, have fallen and created this beautiful affect:
The girls and I have been enjoying some morning walks with our friends, the Stewarts, and this morning the kids were thrilled to see and touch the “pink snow”.
For a while they threw it all around and watched it float down to the path… so beautiful!
but then the wind started blowing and they didn’t have to throw it on their own anymore.
It was so beautiful and such a fun time for all of us to enjoy God’s creation. We’ll miss the Sakura blossoms but will keep looking for the many other wonders of God’s world as this beautiful time of year continues.
