We have loved getting to catch up with dear friends here in Orlando. It has been wonderful for Noa to meet some important people for the very first time!
This is Aunt Jodye
Jodye and I went to high school together and were the only members of our graduating class. Jodye is a precious friend, very faithful in loving me and keeping up with us. She works for a Christian School here in Orlando and is going back to school in the fall to become a Guidance Counselor. She is wonderful and beautiful and SUCH a blessing in my life!
This is Aunty Hopey
Hope is like my little sister, always makes me laugh, sometimes makes me mad, but will never stop being an important part of my life. Hope and I grew up together in Japan and now she lives and works here in Orlando. Hopefully, though, she’ll be moving up to Harrisonburg this summer… Yay! I love you, Hopey!
This is Aunt Becky
Becky and I spent 2 summers in Japan together and have remained close ever since. Becky is one of the most Godly women I know, she is such an encouragement and example to me. Becky works for Pioneers and is getting her masters at RTS and hopes to go into missions someday soon. It was so sweet to finally introduce her to my Noa.

Today was Noa’s first day ever at the beach. Enjoy the photos!
This is Jonathan and Maggie who we have been talking about. Jonathan is my big brother and is a student at Reformed Theological Seminary. Maggie, my wonderful sister-in-law, teaches at a Christian classical school here (The Geneva School). We love ‘em! (and are staying with them this week)
We are having a wonderful time in Florida with Jonathan and Maggie. The weather has been warm and refreshing. More than that, it is a joy to have a glimpse into what Jonathan and Maggie’s life is like from day to day. We have loved meeting the people who they love and enjoy, going to church, going to their home group, having a picnic with their supper club. God has truly made a wonderful home for them here in Orlando and we are blessed to have been welcomed in these last few days. And it makes us so happy to watch Noa grow in love for her uncle and aunt as they are now quite familiar to her.
Yesterday we had a wonderful walk around the neighborhood and to the park as a family and it was lovely to be together. Noa has been swinging on the swings recently (isn’t she so big?) and she LOVES it. She is all smiles and giggles once she gets going.
And here she is enjoying Daddy who she LOVES even more than the swing.
