Noa was blessed with some beautiful new clothes from our friends, the Weavers. Hand-me -downs are great! Anyway, I was talking to my sister Hannah this morning and had a wonderful time catching up with her… Thanks for taking the time to chat, Hannah! And while we were talking, I was trying to go through Noa’s clothes and pack the ones that are too small and get out ones that will fit her now or soon. While I was doing this, I was telling Hannah all about all these cute new dresses that she got so I promised to put some photos up of Noa is her new clothes. Enjoy!
” Look at my beautiful new dress!”
You may remember Owen Hursh from previous posts. Noa and Owen got to visit when we were in PA and had lots of fun together. Owen is one month older and wonderful friend to Noa. Owen is really big too. He showed Noa how he sits up, eats solids, and tries to crawl. Apparently Noa got some hints since she’s been sitting up beautifully.
Hi Friends! I am so sorry that we have been such delinquent bloggers. Life has been crazy and without internet access at home, its tough loading Noa up and then expecting her to sit while I work on the computer at the library. Its especially hard now that she is so active and easily bored. Thanks for checking in with us, though. I will try to do better and get a post and photos up at least once a week.
Some new things in Noa’s life: She is sitting up a lot without any help. She still needs someone or something as a safety net because she’ll randomly fling herself back at any given time. Noa also just started drinking water out of sippy cup. Well, the water doesn’t stay down yet and she usually gags but thats ok. She’s getting used it.
Kathryn is one of Noa’s favorite friends – by virtue of the facts that her parents are some of our favorite friends and they are only a few months apart and they both have kathryn in their name
Kathryn and Noa finally met a few weeks ago and it was great fun to watch them interact. Cristen has posted some really sweet pictures of it on their blog. Go check them out at: http://thesinks.blogspot.com/2007/02/on-friday-kathryn-and-i-ventured-up-to.html
This last weekend, we had some visitors from Japan, the Uchida family who we will be working with in Chiba. They were only here for less than 24 hours but it was awesome to get to know them and fellowship and hear how things are going in Japan.
Their daughter, Amy (6), is absolutely precious, completely bilingual, and just a joy to be around. She LOVED being with “Noa-chan” and just wanted to hold her all the time. It’s nice to think that Noa will have a friend waiting when we get to Japan.
