Noa’s boyfriend, Paul Tongen came to celebrate her half-birthday. Paul’s mom and dad, Megan and Anthony, are in our home group at church and have become very dear friends. Anthony and Megan have an awesome ministry in our community and we love seeing how God uses their family for His kingdom. We also really appreciate having friends who we got to watch go through the transition of one to two kids. They have been such an example and encouragement. AND, Megan gave me the greatest recipe for home-made baby wipes (so easy and inexpensive!) which I LOVE. Thanks Megan! Oh, and Noa is only 10 days older than Paul!

This is Paul’s older brother Micah who Noa really enjoys as well. He can really make her laugh…

The Bensons and the Coles are also precious friends. AND, Noa’s BFF for life is also in this photo but not visible. Little baby girl Cole is in Sarah’s belly just waiting to come out in July. Noa can’t wait!

Martha and Ian, the culprits who gave Noa a bikini :) We love them so much, and especially appreciate their babysitting skills.

Uncle Matty and Auntie Carly and cousin Baby Chase (also coming this July). How we love these dear friends and SO APPRECIATE the impact they have already had in Noa’s life! Thanks for giving her such a wonderful Half Birthday celebration!

Uncle Josh and Aunt Tabitha and Baby Look (or baby wiggleworm?) were also here, but I didn’t get a photo of them with the birthday girl. Here’s another picture from another time of Noa with these precious friends.

Wednesday was Noa’s six month birthday! So yesterday, her Aunt Carly and Aunt Sarah put together a wonderful “Half Birthday” for her. As you can see, we had a feast of halves: half cupcakes, half sandwiches, half chicken nuggets, half bagel bites, half meatballs, shrimp split in half, and halved fruits.

Noa woke up from her nap to find so many people that love her at her house and ready to celebrate her life.

She even got gifts. She got some sippy cups and baby silverware, a book, some diapers and her first bikini from Aunt Martha and Ian. They said they were celebrating Noa’s decreased weight gain (she is now in the 75th percentile instead of the 90th). Aunt Martha’s words were, “you got it, flaunt it!” and “If other babies could walk, they’d stumble.” Of course, for Dad’s sake a modesty hula skirt was included. I think, though, that Noa will wear it on her head to give the illusion of hair…

We have LOVED the beautiful weather we have been having. Noa and I are taking walks whenever we can and its great to be outdoors. Can’t tell yet if she loves the grass or it just feels too weird. Here we are enjoying the sunshine together:

Sweet girl… mostly happy… what an incredible blessing!

Giving “kisses” to Aunt Martha… Noa kisses are THE BEST!
