Well, with being a big four-month-old comes a 4-month well-baby doctor’s visit and with that comes 4 more shots. I have been dreading today for several days now and woke up grumpy this morning. Noa, thankfully, had no idea what was coming and woke up just as happy as ever. She smiled for Daddy and Mommy, for the receptionist and nurses. She did all of her latest tricks for the doctor, showing him how she rolls over, drools, sits and stands with a little help, and of course, smiled the whole time and laughed a little too. We were also excited to find that Noa has become a little bit more proportionate and is in the 90th percentile for her hight, weight, and head circumference. This little girl is just wasting away… NOT! When it was finally time for the shots, she was quite the champ. She didn’t even cry til the nurse was halfway done and this time it wasn’t the blood-curdling, make momma weep kinda cry that she did last time. In fact she cried for a little bit afterward but stopped pretty quick. The biggest reason, I know, is that she is just so tough and easy-going. I also think it might have helped that I gave her tylenol before the shots and that we made sure she had her pacifier in her mouth during them. And I timed her appointment so that it was time to eat right after the shots so I think that was a comfort. This time was not nearly as traumatic as last time and I think we are both getting better at it. Just one more set at the 6-month check up and then we get a break at the 9-month…
